5th Annual Alumni Flag Football Event

Brett Snyder’s Tackle ALS Foundation, Inc. and the Bo Tkach Memorial are hosting the 5th Annual Alumni Flag Football Event..."raising awareness one community at a time!" There will be flag football games for Northwestern, Northern Lehigh, Palmerton, Lehighton, and Catasauqua football alumni. The event will be a tournament format. In addition, there will be a Punt, Pass, & Kick competition and a variety of activities for families and children of all ages.

Please forward this to any Northwestern, Northern Lehigh, Palmerton, Lehighton, or Catasauqua football alumni to register. Also, please share this with our friends in the community that would enjoy the afternoon of activities that will benefit two great causes.

Event Details
Date/Time:	Saturday, August 1st (rain date Sunday, August 2nd), gates open at 3pm.
Location:	Northwestern Lehigh “Tigers” Football Stadium
Game Format:	Teams will be based on graduation years to ensure even match-ups (same class years will be kept together.) All graduation years are welcome!
Cost per player:	$20 per player
Pledges/Sponsorships:	Although not mandatory to participate, we are asking each player to assist with the fundraising activity by seeking sponsorships. Please see attached Player Pledge Sheet. Three participation levels: Gold = $150 raised, Silver = $100 raised, Bronze = $50 raised Players are eligible to receive a prize based on fundraising level reached.

Brett Snyder, a Northwestern Lehigh and Lehigh University Alumni, is the President and founder of the Tackle ALS Foundation, Inc, which is a non-profit corporation with a mission to increase community awareness about amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and to support research aimed at early diagnosis and detection. The foundation’s goals include providing support to established non-profit organizations dedicating at least a portion of their resources for research to advance early detection and diagnosis, create a network of support for individuals and families living with ALS, and continue to raise awareness about ALS and potential pre-diagnosis symptoms.

Travis Bo Tkach, a Northern Lehigh and Wilkes University Alumni, is the inspiration of the Bo Tkach Memorial, which is an organization with a mission to create awareness for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and other mental health issues. The organizations purpose is carried out through youth athletics, public awareness, and financial assistance, and promotes positive mental health for students in our area, helps individuals receive mental health screening and treatment, and supports mental health awareness and educates parents to recognize the potential warning signs and symptoms.
